You'd be surprised what can be done. Decades ago a pal liberated a substantial length of old hardwood bar top from the rubbish outside a pub and cycled home with it under his arm.

Persuading the bike to turn right at the roundabout after building up speed down Leith Street was seemingly quite interesting.

@Ian McR

Should have invited them to be keynote speakers at PoP2017.

Last night while trying to navigate myself through deepest Nidrie (I was trying to following the cycle route signs to Rosslyn Chapel), observed 4 yoof on BSOs wobbling away from a building site, each with what looked like a length of 4x2 over one shoulder.

I don’t think they could have actually been 4x2s as they seemed to be over 3m long so would be too heavy I’d have thought ? Also they looked very yellow, so possible something scaffold related ?

Still, it didn’t seem to stop 3 of the 4 making a reasonable attempt at a getaway over some waste ground. The 4th had a slow-motion tumble and decided to abandon his loot.

i must have missed a sign, as ended up on the 701 to/from Rosslyn.
