Pleased to report that thanks to some fettling and courier inn from islabike and quick work by the cycle service, the wee lad is now equipped for the race. I'd watch out for him training tomorrow on the links if I were you....

MicroSRD is signed up for the cyclocross at the Inch on the 24 - it was to be his first race, but he had an unfortunate encounter with a rubbish bin while heading down hill, and his bike needs its forks replaced. It's looking like this won't be sorted by the 24th.

Does anyone have a lightweight bike. 5/6year old could ride that we could borrow?

I realise that lending your bike to a child who's already crashed one might not seem a sensible move, but thought I'd ask anyway.... The inch course should be less prone to crashing. And that was his first ever 'off'. (He's fine btw).
