Yeaman Place - council just needs to "suggest" to Daltons that their scrap yard is not a suitable use in a residential area and they'll need to move. The site would make a nice access route. Perhaps some affordable (car free) housing on the rest of the site.

I pointed out that if they put in canal access at Yeaman Place, it would make it possible for more kids to walk to school, but they weren't impressed.

At the original Roseburn drop-in event (before it all kicked off), the cycling officer said that there were plans in development for a segregated route along Dundee Street, through Fountainbridge to Semple Street. It was supposed to be out for consultation in the spring (so 6 months ago). The ongoing battle with the EW route has probably put a lot of things on hold.

There was a thread started on it. It also appeared on the list of projects due for design:

Is anybody aware of any strategic plans for the Fountainbridge / Dundee Street corridor in terms of cycle ways / pedestrian improvements?

Given the large amount of completed development on Fountainbridge, the underway and the planned, there doesn't seem to be any joined up thinking.

I know I'm the one that should know, but have to say I don't.

I'm aware there's [limited] plans for outside the new school but that appears to be it.
