The road carries much more traffic than its design and situation can accommodate. I don't cycle northbound if I can at all avoid it; I'll go up The Brae in Auchendinny.</p> <p>It was great though when the road on the south side of the glen was collapsing and they had to mend it for months. It was great when there was the wee landslide on the north side of the glen, and the road was closed. It was great during lockdown when offices were closed.</p> <p>The thing is, here we are in 2023 and there is still no paved footway from Roslin to the bottom of Roslin Glen. As if a mile or so of tarmac is going to blow the roads budget to pieces!</p> <p>If I was in charge of Midlothian for a day I'd do something with Roslin Glen Road (B7003). Some of which are ok but a lot have collapsed or filled with tree roots. I've helped to clear some on occasion.
