In fact, in 40 days over May and June this year, wardens visited Ratcliffe Terrace 214 times and issued 12 tickets. I have seen, on multiple occasions, traffic wardens pass straight past illegally parked cars there as they go from KB to the Tesco at the top of Causewayside. It turns out that the sign detailing loading times didn't match the lines on the road, which <em>may</em> have been why they weren't enforcing it. I am not sure how the persistent offenders get away with it, maybe they have hired Pete to keep a look out?</p> <p>Most people are neutral towards cyclists. Only those with a bee in their bonnets are as consistently anti cycling as the double yellow line bike lane parkers are about flouting the law. </p> <p>Many people will pass a hurtful remark but this is just what people do, it is not a cnsistent bias against cycling.</p> <p>I know it is hard to remain calm in the face of bad drivers who then give you an earful but I do not think they are typical. There are many more bike friendly drivers out there.
