Haymarket should be fine too, but I'd go to Waverley if you want to be certain. There are spaces for two bikes at both the front and rear carriage.</p> <p>At the time you're coming home there should be no problem, but if you get the train at half four ish it's a Virgin train which you need to book because of a short platform at Leuchars. You're going the "wrong way" so there should be plenty of space. Coming back, you're also going the "wrong way" and if you avoid peak time (4pm onwards) the train shouldn't be too busy. But I'll be restricted for time as I need to do nursery pickup, and as I'd rather make the most of the time there I'd rather not take the risk of not getting on the train of it's real. So would it be worth trying to get the bike on that train, leaving just after nine and being back at Haymarket by half five at the latest? Or is there a chance of being left waiting? </p>
