Even some tourers would be fine with tyres of 35mm or more. Unfortunately this effect creates stress lines in the metal and they quickly split apart where the holes were drilled to mount. I was wondering if moving from Plastic SKS to Stainless shineyness was a good move but thay are still in good shape, a year on (and more) and it is only the read which has suffered. I usually avoid it on the way up from Tesco into town, but heading down hill from Dublin St my mudguards are braking with more regular occurence.</p> <p>After the 3rd time in a 7 day period, I had to fashion a new L bracket for the read mudgaurd again yesterday after work.</p> <p>Why any sane 'cycle expert' would be happy recomending Scotland Street cobbled street as something anyone would want to cycle on, is beyond me!</p> <p>Dave C </p>
