Scarf flapping in the breeze is a nice touch: very Biggles.</p> <p>I presume the painting is a poetic semi-autobiorgaphical reminiscence. As opposed to a super realistic representation of optimal cycling behaviours. Having said that, it wouldn't be the first time someone has set their saddle too low.
