"The mayors of Paris, Mexico City, Madrid and Athens say they are implementing the ban to improve air quality."

But not for another 9 years. 9 more years of polluted air. Why?

The mayors of Paris, Mexico City, Madrid and Athens say they are implementing the ban to improve air quality.

They say they will give incentives for alternative vehicle use and promote walking and cycling.

"

Don't suppose any UK cities have the legal powers to ban diesel vehicles. (Except perhaps London?)

They could all do more to restrict traffic generally.

Edinburgh's highly desirable '10% for cycling' would go a lot further/be able to be spent more usefully if there was less traffic that 'had' to have much of the available road space...

Some cities on the mainland of Europe did this sort of thing for 20 years, we are sooo far behind...

I wonder how long it will take Edinburgh to catch up.
