&#60;p&#62;This is just a visually compelling example of what happens here anyway. Supermarket 'mountain' bikes are designed to last around 50 miles before going to landfill.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Now if we had punitive import tariffs on disposable sweatshop goods and employment was taxed less then repair and refurbishment of bicycles and other goods would make more sense. Hang on I'm describing 1980s Cuba, am I not?

&#60;p&#62;Seems like there's a problem with the bike hire system if dumping the bike is an attractive option. Don't they need to be returned to somewhere?
