They're planning to dig up the road near my work, and this morning had helpfully placed some big signs at each end, stating the date from which the road closure takes place.

This evening sign no.1 was lying face down on the road next to its frame. Sign no.2 was also lying face down on the road next to its frame, undoubtedly the work of the small people spotted jumping up and down on it as I approached.

Some trimmed tree-branches from the pile at the side of the path had been pulled into it just under the Drylaw bridge, then an entire winterfeast tree right in the middle of the path under Wardie Road, presumably the work of the small people spotted scampering away up the bank to the road when I stopped to hoick the tree away.
