Still no real rain, not like Welsh rain. In fact sunny.

Just been up at the Abergynolwyn community centre having a coffee and looking at old photos. There is an old fellow delivering milk by bicycle with a tubular steel side car for the milk urn and sheep dog.

It is Same as Scotland (all conifer plantations and brooding mountains)though the sweet shop owner is a big brexit fan. I have found this in sweetie shops of England and now Wales. My M.O. On holiday is to jog round the area doing a recce and then find the nearest sweet shop.

Still no rain

Red kites, big white ducks, wee wren or maybe so small a goldcrest BT I think wren. Crows flying just above the car as we went down the valley, crows mobbing buzzard and a lamb being born as we drove by,

Lambs everywhere

Tornado jets also having fun

Castelli clad fellow on a Basso glided past me on my morning run

Walked through ancient oak forest called coed cedris

"I had glorious sunshine the first day, rain the second day, rain and gales the third day, rain and gales the fourth day, and sunny the fifth day"

Sounds a bit like Scotland then.

Still not rained, had stupid run down to next village for breakfast provisions. No actual pavements. Bit local lorry drivers friendly. Only seen a couple of roadies and four or five hybrids. Unlike Lang Whang Sunday morning which was teeming. Had great walk in the dysyni valley today including church where Mary Jones' parents buried. They have made a quilt replica of the dysyni valley. Mary Jones walked from there barefoot in 1800 to Bala, 26 miles away to buy a bible in Welsh. I am sure that was a good use of her time.

No Theresa May but lot of jet fighters very low on cadair idris range.

In summer 2015 I spent a few days cycling from Chester to Snowdonia to Bangor.

I had glorious sunshine the first day, rain the second day, rain and gales the third day, rain and gales the fourth day, and sunny the fifth day (when I was back in Chester with a wet tent and damp everything else).

Forecast OK, was there before and only rained 50 per cent of the time. Round a mountain range from Barmouth that has the train and bike only bridge. I saw on coast but not sure still open to bikes.

Looks great, Abergynolwyn. The bike shop at Dolgellau I think is MTB. I am not so keen on mtb to be honest. But I do like walking in the mountains.

Just phoned cycle shop in Dolgellau. They don't hire road bikes and the other shop in Tywyn is permanently closed. Mrs G declines to let me strap a bike on back of motor. So looks like will be hill walking only next week for hols. It is scorching down there today and tomorrow but alas not so nice after that.
