I'd like to go out more now but my bikes are just buried in a pile. I've just looked at the price of scaffold poles and they're about £13 for an 8ft length. You could either put in a pole attached at top and bottom in your garage or attach some kind of cross piece to stop the lifting over the top. With a bit of variation you could adapt the idea for as many bikes as you want. A Sheffield rack would (I think) make storage tidier and bikes more accessible. Looking online a 4 rack one would be £350+ when you add in delivery of £110+VAT. Can anyone suggest a local merchant, or a blacksmith who could make one up in galvanised steel? </p>
