Queen's Drive would be one, according to <a href="http://www.crashmap.co.uk/">Crash Map</a> six serious collisions since 2011, one of which was fatal. </p> <p>Presumably the criteria also include whether "other measures" are "ruled out" or not. Perhaps the polis, cooncil, HES, etc. will wait to see if the new 20mph zone in Holyrood Park "works" or not, before considering "unsightly" average speed cameras...</p> <p>* e.g. London Road between Easter Road and Elm Row, has sustained nine serious collisions since 2011. However none of these were fatal, nor did they hit the headlines, so that's alright then. Obviously that road needs to stay 30mph. Not.</p> <p>Also Morningside Road had a very high number of serious collisions in the past six years, over ten (I gave up counting), with one fatality. Presumably speed must be a factor there too, but what is the correct intervention? Many side junctions, busy shopping street, these must be factors too.
