These are like solid grommets, which can be used to seal a "spare" hole in an electrical box, or provide a waterproof port in the box. (4.8mm is the smallest hole they say can grommit up!) It fits exactly between two spines that run the length of the seat, so my intention is to drill four holes through the carbon fibre, run some shock cord (/bungee) through those to create two elasticated loops, and subsequently revel in my brilliance.</p> <p>Some further thought has suggested that shock cord running through said holes is going to have a limited lifspan unless there's something protecting it. I think I need something like a washer with a sleeve to fit through the hole.
