May be lost in translation, using a polish and English thesaurus may be it could refer to convenience.

I wondered that too. The word wygoda translates simplistically as comfort, in the sense of convenience and quality. Contrast with osłoda which is more about emotional wellbeing, and pociechy, which is equivalent to reassurance.

I don't think meant to be taken literally as crucial. I think the person [no idea why he/she had my details, I probably filled in a previous survey on here] is just trying to get her D.Eng (doctorate in Engineering?]

Why?

Why do we have to have endless surveys, questionnaires and consultations?

Why don't we just copy what is already known to work from abroad?

49 videos, 53 pages - yet the researcher can't find the space to define what they mean by "comfort" - which is the basis of the whole survey. Probably better if they had stationed a couple of researchers at either end of a shared use path and asked the opinions of people using it. Sometimes an online survey just isn't the way to go.

"worst designed survey ever.
I gave up."
I also thought that and gave up, may try again later.

If I want to vary the comfort level I let air out my tyres or avoid bumps. If the route was as uncomfortable as cobbles then I may take another route.

The use of the word "comfort" without reference to what this means does not give me a lot of comfort

I have pointed out some of the flaws in the methodology already - though I like that you have to watch films of two shared use paths (*unfortunately one on a wet day when the ridges are perp and one on a sunny day when parallel, not sure this is actually part of it, however leaving the wheelchair in shot when not in use is probably something that could have been avoided. (warning 53 rather similar video clips from cyclist perspective, I presume from ped perspective if you click the pedestrian link)

Quick Survey (Active Travel)
Dear all,

We are conducting research into perception of comfort by current and potential users on mixed use paths. Previously (in 2014) you completed an online questionnaire and indicated that you would be interested in participating in Stage 2 of Data Collection.

Your participation is crucial in order to improve the quality of walking and cycling infrastructure and enhance the experience of users.

To help with this study further please complete a questionnaire, which will take about 20 minutes of your time. By filling it out you can enter a prize draw to win one of the Amazon gift cards (1 x £150, 2 x £75 and 3 x £35).

The survey and more information can be found here:

If you are a Cyclist: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7HGY7JY

If you are a Pedestrian: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7PKVS97
