Few years ago, ok a lot really, we were hill walking/ice climbing?mucking about in Glencoe, above the Ball bridge, 5oo sisters range, deep midwinter, cold as cold, all safe, been freezing for ages, traversing a ridge, 5 of us, roped up, crampons, axes et all ! Stunning sunny day, deep and crisp and even.....Slab moved about ten feet, down ! The absolute scariest feeling in my life ! I have been wondering if there is any advice going around about removing roof snow and found this story from the BBC saying that <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-11911326">homeowners are responsible</a> and they should get contractors out to do it.
