It joins those three settlements which are spaced a walkable distance apart. The alternative is a 60mph unlit country road with no pavements, and a bus service that's just been cut back to beyond the point of usefulness.</p> <p>The line runs through a combination of overgrown stuff and grazing farmland.</p> <p>Apparently a study was done a little while back about the practicalities of getting a path built. It ground to a halt, but I'm trying to get hold of it again. One would have thought that with all this extra active transport budget now sloshing about, we might have a hope of getting a bit of funding...</p> <p>Anyone got any experience of organising something like this? I can sketch out a process in my head, but I've no doubt it's more complicated than it appears! </p>
