I know someone who walks over them on holidays, and I can see why.</p> <p>These original riders, 1 Kiwi and 3 Aussies were truly people of steel. Riding nearly 4000 miles over ~26 days, with some rides of 200+ miles over the Pyrenees in a day, setting off at midnight, was a feat I do not think I could manage. Tales of 12 punctures in 1 day! Riding on gravel tracks for most of the journey! Wow!!</p> <p>This film recreated that 1928 ride, on original 1920s bikes. I contacted the organisers and they (re)sent the tickets which I have printed off.
