You can use it with the ends of the crescent facing forwards or backwards, depending on preference. He didn't really know it was ongoing (accident happened years ago) til rediscovering cycling and sitting on a nasty saddle for a couple of hours nearly did for him. Nerve damage, weeks of agony, all calming down now. Doc prescribed rest etc and advised a special saddle if he wanted to keep on cycling. He desperately wants to but he can't risk further injury. Santa will bring him a special saddle if I can find one that does the job.</p> <p>Do any of the local shops sell proper nether-friendly, verging-on-the medical saddles? It's such a gamble to drop a wedge of cash on something online without being able to get him to at least perch on it in a shop first. It's for leisure riding, so only 10-20 miles at a time. Needs to have a good cut out below the tailbone and as much of a gully as possible through the middle.</p> <p>Anyone got friends of friends with tales of tails that can point me in a direction? I've been looking at Selle SMP TRK (looks like Gonzo from The Muppets)and the Specialized range. </p>
