@weezee, that sort of thing, makes our wee tram that conflicts with cars, buses and cyclists at about two points only seem less intrusive.

A Pashley Pronto! In a refurbished guise otherwise known to a several of CCEers as the Elephant Bike*.

* not to take away anything from crowriver's Pashley Pronto, which isn't an Elephant Bike because it wasn't a Mailstar before.

Any of these photos perhaps?
http://www.stickybottle.com/latest-news/luas-ban-restrictions-cycling-dublin/
Rails certainly very close to pavement kerb and some of those streets have very heavy foot-fall.

In particular: "And in other locations the report’s authors conclude that crossing sections of track at treacherous angles makes cycling not possible there." There are enough streets and lanes around the areas affected to give sensible bike-only routes as alternatives. Will they but?

I meant to post this photo under this very same thread title last Monday. Had a chat with the postie who was using it. I had delivery round in Dublin one Christmas when I were a lass and they had just taken delivery of some shiny new Dutch bikes. Being the only female in the delivery office, I was offered first dibs.

Dublin postal delivery

Hadn't heard about the new stooshie above but will investigate. I guess for one is southbound Marlborough St section as it's quite narrow. Enforcing is another matter of course.

Stooshie around new tram line stopping cyclists using seven central streets. Saw on Facebook but now cannot find it.
