This apparently made the driver of the lorry behind me unhappy, as he tailgated and revved the engine all the way along Regent Road until I pulled in at the High School, mistakenly thinking it was Royal Terrace. And after a few passes I'm still at a loss as to how anyone is meant to use it. </p> <p>1) The access ports (or exit ports) are tiny and at right angles.<br /> 2) The crossing is completely shared with pedestrians.<br /> 3) It's actually quite narrow in general. The bike path is meant to be two way but doesn't look wide enough for that. And the footpath seems split down the middle (for floating but stop I guess).<br /> 4) Due to the above and the level to footpath nature of the path I just think there will be a huge conflict with pedestrians forcing most cyclists to ignore it. (Which is what happens on Leith Walk). </p> <p>I hate to be negative as it's good it's getting built. They know that most of the legal position is in their favour, and they have just gone ahead and changed the layout, making it a fait accompli.
