Have done it many times with no problems. Beware the temperature may be a few degrees lower than Dalgety Bay once you get up to the Kelty/Cowdenbeath area, so if there's a risk of ice I'd avoid the Maryburgh cut through and probably the wee road to Pathstruie to be honest.</p> <p>If you don't fancy the climb back towards Hill of Beath on the way back, you can take the A909 rather than turning back towards Kelty, head towards Cowdenbeath, then turn right at Foulford Road at the second roundabout. Total route is looking simply like, Bay -&gt; Crossgates -&gt; Cowdenbeath -&gt; Kelty -&gt; Kinross -&gt; Pathstruie , back same route. </p>
