I love the way Tesco Express on Leith Walk empties their mop buckets into the road (now the cycle lane), which - on winter mornings - then freezes over as it just sits there.

I noticed this morning that someone appeared to have done the same on the on-pavement lane opposite Shrubhill. Lots of ice just by the bus-stop bypass before 7 this morning.

All of which leads me to wonder whether or not the new path will be gritted more frequently?

There is a dangerous amount of ice at the junction of Queensferry Road and Maidencriag Crescent due to a burst water main. A cyclist could easily slip into the path of traffic if heading on to Queensferry Road from Maidencriag Crescent. Council have been told.
