That colour scheme is standard for helicopters doing low level patrol work.</em></p> <p>It was too far away for me to make out any identifying marks so I just assumed that the colour matching the photo on the polis Twitter page meant that it must have been theirs. It was there for about an hour from 10:30pm. It had a searchlight and seemed at one point to be lighting up the area around the Swanston golf course. It looked very much as if they were searching for someone or something.</p> <p>Anyone know anything about what might have been going on? The BBC and the EEN don't seem to have anything about it and the Police Scotland Twitter feed has nothing but travel warnings... </p>
