I have never been charged a fee but they are sometimes locked. </p> <p>Speaking to the HES ranger service may get you access. Especally if it's cold, you are young, or older, or had too much coffee (this latter is me, every time). We're not in a position to provide facilities, so would at least like to put together a comprehensive guide to Places to Go along the route and post it on the website.
