I saw one post-it suggesting that reducing parking in the High Street would kill the businesses there. Also heading east at that Y-junction where 2 lanes merge just before a painted cycle lane which is permanently parked in just after a bend. Very stressful, whichever way I've approached it.</p> <p>Essentially, the section between New Street and Joppa is why I don't go to Musselburgh very often. The bridge is too narrow for the level of cycling a segregated route should attract. Given that one lane of the road bridge is pretty much redundant (it merges immediately after the bridge), I don't see why it wouldn't go that way.</p> <p>The shared stuff to the south looks good too, albeit for a different kind of journey. It is taking existing shared routes to Dalkeith and Pencaitland and joining them up with similar quality paths. Reinstating <a href="https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@55.9368135,-3.0859653,3a,75y,58.1h,90t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1sTUWTRASzFReDisQlNpozww!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!9m2!1b1!2i55">this bridge</a> shouldn't be outside the realms of possibility either.
