I don't mind energy gels at all and at least it is over quickly, unlike 400ml of Fuller's earth suspension or whatever the heck it is!

Glad everyone is liking their new saddles.

My new suspiciously fortuitous B17 got its first outing yesterday too. After the first 20 mins I defiantly knew where my sitbones were, but the rest of the day just got more comfy, I don't *think* i have any bruises today, this arvos ride should tell me. :)

First outing for the B17 today. Spent the best part of an hour last night applying proofride to it. After finding out that the main ingredients are beef tallow and cod oil, I'm rather glad that they put all that citronella oil in it.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, however it was completely glorious - warm and comfortable and supporting, like sitting in a big old leather wingback chair. If this is how it feels before being broken in then it can only get better. I'm couldn't be more pleased with it.

I enjoyed a ferocious indoor TT in my new spangly shoes (and pedals). As hoped, they really are a lot nicer to ride in than the ones which were falling apart :)

Nice to support a local shop too.

Colin - like i said when i got mine, they just kinda work. Very odd feeling in that you can't feel them.

The B17 is unique i think in not having a 'break in' period. Unlike the Swift.... ow

3hr/62km maiden ride with the new Brooks today. Other than it being a bit shiny and slippy, it was actually rather comfortable in a "didn't even realise it's there" sort of way.

Thanks again TBC for letting me change the tyre on my filthy bike in the warmth of the shop - I should have been made to take a walk of shame home with a flat as punishment for heading out with no spares, tools or inflation paraphernalia.
