The sunrise/sunset times are not symmetrical about the equinox, or indeed the solstice. The earliest and latest are not on the longest and similarly the latest and earliest are not on the shortest day. According to BBC weather. Though in London the sunrise is earlier as is the sunset but will be a minute over the 12 hours.</p> <p>These winds would therefore appear to be Equinoctal Gales. </p>
