Remember that the buses for most towns and villages in E Lothian usually start and finish the day running empty from their 'town' depot for the 'first' and 'last' main services - handy for a day-out cycling, or getting back later at night, when the experience of riding on unlit rural roads is not so pleasant. </p> <p>Consider also whether the old coach-operated X25(?) Edinburgh-Dunbar via Haddington, might be a suitable bike carrying service (as are Stagecoach Edinburgh-Fife services operated by coaches) </p> <p>Drem-Gullane is being partially built by CALA Homes with their current development, and will be a 5Km path for cycling &amp; walking between Drem Station and Gullane - hopefully &amp; especially with 'parking' enforcement on the roads around Drem Station, reducing the excessive car-based access to the train services.
