I also bought a helmet camera from Aldi and the picture quality and battery life is far superior on the rear light camera.</p> <p>I'd agree with paddyirish on many points. I think the consensus is that the picture quality is good enough, but not as good as the Fly 6 of which it is an obvious (and cheaper) rip-off. </p> <p>The recordings are stored in files which breaks your ride into 5 minute chunks. They can be viewed with a standard USB cable attachment. When the card is full it overwrites the first file again. </p> <p>I haven't looked at the recordings too much and hope I never have to. The only exception was to embarrass one of my offspring after it captured a particularly spectacular temper tantrum... </p> <p>I've made a couple of amendments to get more out of it.<br /> 1) When I first got it, it had a tendency to turn off after 15 mins of riding. Based on advice in a another forum,I googled for a firmware upgrade and this sorted it.<br /> 2) I upgraded the 8GB SD card to a 32GB (max allowable) and this gave me 4hrs of continuous recording rather than 1.</p> <p>Minor annoyances are the following</p> <p>1) When you first get the camera you need to calibrate the date. This was a wee bit fiddly and I think I have had it reset once on me. I recommend doing a regular datetime check to see that it is recording accurate times.<br /> 2) Loud beeps when you turn it on or off or plug it in to charge.
