I then pushed said intruder backwards down the stairs and I ran off a bit shaken to Earl pub. Police were summoned from there. Dazed intruder walked by window of pub. Can't go into any more details but he was caught and a report was sent to the Procurator Fiscal.<br /> He was named in the Evening News (2015) and pleaded guilty to several offences.<br /> I could have got it into paper but decided it was not something that had any great benefit. Of course headlines would have been great but wondered if it might have attracted more of the wrong sort. Guys at Bicycle Works and some Marchmonites still mention it. The former in a 'P*** taking' kind of way :-)<br /> Almost all shops in Marchmont had been stolen from and I think the guy didn't know I was in when he got to back office. Maybe just hoping to nip off with my 2007 MacBook or a carbon neckrest.
