Ah thanks - I've come through there a couple of times, most recently post-confusing-barriers, and took a picture intending to report it but never got round to it. The positioning of the container seemed ignorant/inconsiderate but the barriers make it look oddly malicious.

There'a a giant container blocking half the road, right across the bollards, and the other half of the road is - for no apparent reason - completely closed off with security fencing, just leaving enough room on the pavement for pedestrians and barely enough for a cyclist. A passer-by told me it was related to the work on Bellevue Chapel. Surely they don't have the right to block the road? I've tweeted @edinhelp about it.
