His life story is almost too radge to believe but all too real. We should all remember him, particularly in these dark days, every time we spy the Calton obelisk, dedicated to him and the other Edinburgh Matyrs.</p> <p>This year the speaker is <a href="http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=18169&amp;page=4#post-278160">Gerda Stevenson</a>, poet, actor, writer, musician, director and activist. I suspect she will be superb, speaking around her most recent book 'Quines', a collection of poetry about Scottish women across the ages.</p> <p>At least two CCEers will be involved on the night. </p>
