<description>&#60;p&#62;They had an escalator taking you down from the walkway.  This was closed when the platform was extended. However they have now constructed a parallel walkway to the walkway and put the escalator back in.

<description>&#60;p&#62;My understanding is that the current 'redevelopment' is essentially stage 1 of the master plan - all they're doing is adding more platforms. The next bit is about working out how you can fit even more, some of them going all the way though, without compromising access. The solution they've been thinking about for a while is a mezzanine floor above the platform level - sort of like the current overhead walkway but bigger.
