New ones installed today at Armstrongs and outside the Chemist on Rankeillor Street.

At least I assume new - new cement and plastic still surrounding the top of the racks.

Height fine for my bike and sons MTB

Noticed today that these have now been re-installed at a more suitable height. One has been left outside Dominos at the full height, presumably for comparison sakes.

Interesting - they're definitely sunk in elsewhere. Perhaps a quick temporary installation that will be rectified <strike>after the festival</strike> eventually.

I think you may be right here, Frenchy - they are bolted to ground at pavement height but maybe they're meant to be sunk a bit and in-filled. More of same over road at Scotmid corner.

Have they perhaps not been shoved far enough into the ground?

New Sheffield bike racks at Nicholson Street corner near Machina coffee, they are so tall. I hope they were ordered in error and are not the new standard because they don't look as useful at that height. Not sure what sort of bike would chain to the top rail.
