I know a number of ultra distance cyclists, none of which could be discribed as "bunny boilers"...

*bunny boiler - a woman who acts vengefully after being spurned by her lover (in most of the definitions I saw, the lover is a man and the origin is apparently Fatal Attraction the movie with Glenn Close and Michael Douglas. Was rooting for Glenn in that one though as it wore on, I was more rooting for The Exit).

I'd love to go but have Cubs that evening and can't really get out if that particular night. But speaking of mental people, I have met another long distance lady cyclist and she did seem a little bonkers, in one of those *bunny boiling ways...

* - not wishing to be sexist here, I'm sure most obsesive endurance people regardles of sex are a little mental!

Yes, I may have been at that talk too - Edfoc a couple of years back with Ian Fitz and Kasja Tylen.

Have followed her adventures since, read her book on the Baltic Sea Cycle. She's currently in Bolivia on the third of her Mountain range series (did the Atlas last year).

JT has done very well carving out a career in what she does and I hope she can sustain it.

Seen JT talk about that run. Amazing images - suspect she's a mentalist, mind! There was a whole bit about accidentally having to climb up a cliff without a rope that gave me the heebie-jeebies.

I'm really tempted and will see if I can get a pass.

Dotwatched the event and thought it was amazing. Jenny Tough was the only solo woman to finish and Lee Craigie was in the top 5 overall for the first third of the race, even though she was ill. Would love to see what she could have done healthy.

Have you seen Jenny Tough's videos from her run in Kyrgystan a couple of years back? They were spectacular too.

Anyone else going to this? The pictures Lee Craigie posted on Facebook during made me desperately want to go to Kyrgyzstan
