Which is not really an acceptable state of affairs IMO.</p> <p>Leaving the "hacked*" signs in place but putting another sign next to each one which <u>is</u> compliant with the regulations would simply leave the door open to fervid Pepipoo-ers to argue that the signage is sufficiently confusing that they didn't know what it meant. (Though they might not get away with it, I doubt it would stop them trying since that's a good part of what they do - push at loopholes to see if they give way and let them through.)</p> <p>I have no issue with Mr Abraham's stickers being preserved if people believe that to be worthwhile**, but I think a dose of reality may also be required here.</p> <p>And I can't help noticing that he appears to be more inclined to talk to the media than to respond to CEC's entirely reasonable request to discuss the situation with him.</p> <p><em>* At the risk of sounding like a curmudgeonly old git, when did "defacement of public property" become "hacking"?<br /> ** Though I have to say I fail to see much artistic or aesthetic value in them myself.
