Not too surprising: there is <u>one</u> shared use sign on Colinton Road, and the Toucan-ness of the crossing is far from obvious unless you are stood right next to it. Although OpenCycleMap shows that shared use path going round the corner, it's a dotted brown line which the legend says means "footpath no cycling". Which is unhelpful. The pavement at the top of Colinton Road is shared use - turn on to the right hand pavement at the <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/n4rSqubRfjC2">traffic island </a>, ride round the corner and use the toucan to cross over. I think he actually did see me with right of way but drove onto the roundabout just to kill me anyway. Had I called him out I fear he would remain unrepentant. I think I do need to change the pink jersey or my route on a thursday morning.</p> <p>On a brighter note, once I get through the polite pupils of Firrhill (they are all very well behaved) someone has put in a dropped kerb. YOu used to be able to run down a dod of concrete but that disintegrated leaving a cliff that only @earthowned could bunny hop off.</p> <p>I shall e-mail the headmaster to compliment him on his pupils and his dropped kerb. </p>
