@Gembo; it's actually a Barbour equivalent, but yes, Ms DarkerSide's opinion remains unchanged. In dire need of reproofing and sleeve lengthening, but Barbour would need it for six weeks apparently, so keep putting it off.

I did try searching for a thread of aforementioned celebrations. Is it named something appropriately opaque?

@darkersider thanks for the offer. I managed to find one through a mate and will get it tomorrow. Rather frustrating as riding around with an empty hamax is rather ... rattling.

In my minds eye I can see myself putting BOTH SETS of keys I have **somewhere** and thinking "this is a great place for these - I'll always remember that this is where the keys are"

Fast forward probably only a couple months and it's completely gone from my head.

You over in Glasgow at any point? You can have my spare, as my lock has bust anyway. Failing that can post - you'd get it on Wednesday

I have managed to lose the key that locks the hamax to the bike frame. Anyone got a spare hamax key I can borrow this week?

Not sure I'd recommend fitting a frame-mounted child seat to a folding bike: the frames tend to be *very* small, meaning the only realistic option is to fit the seat bracket to the long seat post, which is not recommended as apparently unsafe.

However I think a rack-mounted seat might work, but you may need a special rack or an adapter. I think there is a rack adapter for the Hamax range. One issue for a smaller wheeled bike is you may need to fit a 'full size' rear rack to allow for pedal clearance and to keep the seat footrests away from the ground...

Here's a reasonably priced option from Avenir (Raleigh):
https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Avenir-Snug-Carrier-Child-Seat_52937.htm

I’d expect a Hamax or similar would work fine, but depending on the space available and how far down the seat tube it is, you might need a different support from the one which it comes with...

Seat: https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Hamax-Siesta-Reclinable-Childseat_53317.htm

Longer support: https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Hamax-Extra-Bar-For-Small-Frame_53272.htm

Seat should be easy to find second hand, and come with a standard bar, get that first and try to fit it, then but an extra bar if it turns out you need it...

I have a Tern folding bike (almost full size wheels) that I am looking to fit a baby seat on so I can get back on my bike and take my one year old. Any advice on what might work for a folding bike?
