I think everyone's scheme limit is £1000, unless the employer has a consumer credit licence and is willing to utilise it in the bike scheme, or unless the C2W scheme provider is licensed, which AFAIK only GCI is so far.

We're trying at my work to find out if the Green Commute Initiative is compatible with our supplier. It ought to be, really. There are people wanting to buy e-bikes, and our scheme limit is still £1000. The loan scheme from HES is good but it's not a tax incentive.

The scheme provider dictates which suppliers you can order through. Cycle Solutions appears to be restricted to their own online shop. Some other providers allow a much wider range.

I'm trying to get my work to sign up to Green Commute Initiative at the moment due to the wider range of shops/bikes and higher limit.

Also, the cyclescheme take 10% commission from the LBS, so they lose out big time

Yes, you do.

The savings are to be had through the financial jiggery pokery; what you get for your money is up to the supplier, Cycle Solutions or a third party independent shop. As the primary supplier, I'm sure CS would be delighted to sell you another bike, but they also ought to be able to tell you whether or not Bikes Furra Quid or Uniquecycles or Vélos Supérieurs or any other is signed up.

Well, the 'discount' is due to it being a salary sacrifice scheme. ie It is a tax saving. Can't see that being any different between different schemes - It's a government thing.

I'm thinking of getting a new bike via my employer's scheme (Cycle Solutions). Last time round, I went with the main provider and got a great deal. However a local shop have access to some interesting options not available through the scheme provider.

Question is, in a Cycle to Work scheme do I still enjoy the same savings going through an LBS as if I bought from the main provider? The healthy discount specifically.

Cycle Solutions website appears to suggest not...but I might be reading this wrongly.
