Probably several hundred people many cycle clubs and families. I was about 50m below the QOM summit, and waited about 45mins including a cloudburst. Route eS stunning and it was drying out as riders came past. Road was dry when I followed them at a reduced pace over the top. One of the Marshals kept having to ask a family to put theirs on one. They were alongside road and throwing sticks and claimed it would never run after elite cyclists :-)</p> <p>On another theme one of our customers tweeted how disrupted bike routes were and the amount of mass parking of support vehicles on pavements.</p> <p>Like most sports they use tons of fuel and energy. For every 100w of human effort there'll be kws of power used to support and broadcast. Either way, it was really great to watch.
