Road deaths also very high. Plus usual drink and drugs problems. Low income, high unemployment.<br /> Random mass shootings US style are thankfully rare though!<br /> She of course came out here via Gillespie School twinning project with Umlazi so knows all the contradictions of life here and does what she can along with her boyfriend.<br /> Anyway... back to cycling! The fact is that driving is made very easy here and therefore done on a massive scale but there are signs of change.<br /> Papers here saying that next infra should be high speed rail between Johannesburg and Durban - 350 miles.
