We walked behind one guy with a bike at one point and young couples with buggies. Spoke to a woman with her Orkney flag and father and young son - second ever march.<br /> I heard many accents not from Scotland (ie rUK and beyond!) - it felt bigger than last year's event.<br /> The bikers did make a carbon contribution of course as did the over parked Meadows. We reckon though that many came by bus and train and lots walking to start.<br /> It was more a street occupation than march for some of the time. Crammed in on Cannongate for long time as cars and buses had to get across. Took from 1pm to 3 pm to get to George IV Bridge. Mrs LB went to end looking for her ex Labour pal Eilleen.<br /> Numbers don't really matter - photo evidence tells the story. She is with the Saor Alba group I think. Many Catalan Flags, The Silent Clansman standing beside the small quite bonkers looking fringe group of union flag and union Brolly wielding protestors.</p> <p>Park where you like in an independent Scotland? I guess would have needed team of traffic wardens preventing?
