I usually switch the heating off at night as I like waking up to a cold house. Though no3 child has started emulating her older sister by leaving doors open in middle of night (or at least after I have gone to bed). THis is punishable by death as makes things too cold.

However as clocks have changed the heating comes on an hour earlier if I forget to switch it off.

Result - I am boiling

excellent! although LW is priority 1, i think? haven't looked at that in a while.

i always think LW needs gritting at least a week earlier than the rest of the paths, owing to it's exposure and height.

These occurrences of frost lower down towards the sea are a little counter intuitive to me. I would have thought up here would be more frosty. Still just on the roofslates. The car is in the shelter of the house so has not yet needed scraped.......?

Yesterday was the third morning there has been frost on our car. The first occurrence was way back on the 2nd of October (the day after I last cut our grass). My wife tells me she has already scraped the car more this winter than last winter.

We are lower and closer to the sea than gembo but also 6.5(ish) miles further north so perhaps that makes a difference.

I forgot to say that the Leamington Lift Bridge was quite frosty yesterday morning and was then resembling a sandpit when I cycled home in the evening. The sand was partially washed away this morning. I just hope that not too much of it got into my new super-smooth drivetrain and brake pads.
