or Meadows to Canal from Aug/20 Dec/21 to Apr-21 Sep-21

I guess that's an improvement. It presumably shouldn't take 17 months to build 500m of cycle lane.
Or how they estimated it would take the best part of 3 years for WEATN

However starting construction does seem to be the major obstacle.

'Active Travel Investment Programme' from last year (Appendix 3) is probably more useful to compare against: https://democracy.edinburgh.gov.uk/Data/Transport%20and%20Environment%20Committee/20190620/Agenda/item_75_-_investing_in_active_travel_and_in_people-friendly_streets.pdf

Couple of things have been brought forward and construction times reduced. Other delayed somewhat.

e.g.
Roseburn-Canal goes from Nov/20 - Nov/22 to Sep/20 - Mar/22
West Edinburgh Link goes from Sep/21 Mar/24 to Oct/21 Dec/22

I think I found it, although there may have been a more recent one.. It's actually totally unambitious in the "implementing" section

I see that the Council has published a document entitled Walking & Cycling Programme of Infrastructure Improvements for 2019 -2021
Projects in Design Stage. Yet again, it looks like no significant new cycle infrastructure will be opened in the city this year - although there are a couple upgrades to existing facilities and some new toucans etc. on Quiet Routes.

I see Meadows-Canal is listed as "concept design" and now due to be built between April 2021 and September 2021.
