I still have the wee clip rail which slides into the bag and was going to put locking clips on the rail and bolt the rail to the bag. Not really fussed with the feature of disguising it as a normal bag by removing the clips and can always have it with the clips away from the body when over the shoulder.<br /> The only pannier I have non-locking clips on is the double Lidl over-the-rack thing, which used to have velcro on the inside of each half which could be loosely attached to the rack struts after lots of fiddling from the opposite side and which came with no means of securing to the top of the rack unless I clamped it down with a strap removed from a third-hand double-buggy seat strap. Was an attache case i went for. You could remove the fitting so it was just an attaché case. And lighter, had good sleeve for laptop and good cover as part of the three pounds (might have been eight pounds but deffo single digit) pretty sturdy. Never had it fall off but lost the fitting when i removed it. But rediscovered it during a desk clearance. Probably a Planet X experimental purchase. It came with a removable rail for taking off the clips to convert to shoulder use so I am extremely mistrustful of it for transporting and actual laptop.
