BBC4 is great for a bit this - the "Handmade" series are totally mesmerising. I am not sure I have ever managed to stay awake to end of an episode though, as they are so relaxing to watch. Everything about Jay Blades is tiresome apart from his name but I do love to see craft performed. </p> <p>The metal guy is addicted to rattle-can paint and reused ball bearings that were clearly shot.</p> <p>In series three there's a whole bicycle restoration and I actually know the guy whose bike it is. Much more stylsih than tow-along but jeez you would be taking up the entire road </p>
