yesterday I was at the Skelf at around 10:30ish I guess and my older daughter was teaching my younger one - she went the wrong way and panicked and had a bad fall - she'll be fine but impressive grazing and general scream volume.

A family was there and they came and offered proper first aid - they said (I think) they lived in Peebles and were visiting. They were obviously far more prepared than I - decent dressings, cream, small bags of sweets/pacifiers for the kids (and me).

I don't know who they were but I am very grateful not only for their kindness and help with the bike and first etc, but for the lesson I got about what to take with me on such trips.

We made it to Portobello and back for a swim anyway - I fell off on the way back but my screams were less impressive.
