They were obviously far more prepared than I - decent dressings, cream, small bags of sweets/pacifiers for the kids (and me). </p> <p>I don't know who they were but I am very grateful not only for their kindness and help with the bike and first etc, but for the lesson I got about what to take with me on such trips. </p> <p>We made it to Portobello and back for a swim anyway - I fell off on the way back but my screams were less impressive. </p>
