I saw a Nick Cave at the Queens Hall in the 1998. Just him and the piano. The night before he had tried some of his poetry which had not gone down well so at our gig he just sang the good songs. Was a fab gig. At the end he started banging on about how he kissed his wife s9 much and he was going straight to the airport to catch a plane home. We sniggered as turnhouse closed for the night on saturdays at that time about 7pm. I believe he hired a taxi to take him all the way home. I shall ask him. He lets you ask him questions. He doesn’t answer them but he lets you ask. The Birthday Party also played that venue at toll cross, upstairs? coasters maybe in the 1980s several times but they were a hard listen. I like my neighbour but he has different political view. Resolution - avoid certain topics when chatting to him? Van Morrison - my only fun though how can anyone tell? is live gigs. But I am an old bloke and should not be in crowds what with the Covid 19, these contradictory situations are causing me the angst the psychologists call Cognitive Dissonance. How do I resolve this? I know bang on about how Covid 19 is not a risk. (Not for me as I am up on stage) My cognitive dissonance comes from people saying cognitive dissonance when they mean resolution of cognitive dissonance. How am I going to resolve this cognitive dissonance. I know, take the Joey from cheers line and just fuggedabboutit
